Aluglass Bautech is ecstatic to have been involved with the Durban ICC from the very beginning.
A variety of locally manufactured Variflex® mobile acoustic partitions systems (operable walls) with integrated Varikust® acoustic doors and Absorption Panels have been installed in a range of decible ratings and finishes. Variflex® is used to divide conference facilities in two or more smaller venues! Durban ICC can book 2 or more conferences at the same time due to its sound “proofing” properties. For large conferences the whole area is needed! The top hung Variflex® elements park neatly out of site in a niche without a floor track, giving an uninterrupted floor finish.

Exhibition halls refurb
- 3 VX164 partition walls were refurbished – approx 30% of Phase 1
- one third of the old panels were reused
- new fabric absorption panels and bottom metal cladded panels were newly manufactured and installed
