Varikust® acoustic FIRE doors are the ideal solution for any emergency exit or hotel room door. Not only fire-rated, but also acoustic, these doors are available as a single or double leaf door. The VK59F startes with a 32dB acoustic rating and the VK105F has an optional 45 to 55dB acoustic insulation rating. The VK 105F is the biggest class D Fire Door tested in South Africa. Therefore, do not compromise the safety and protection of guests and your property as strict national building regulations ensure that buildings are designed, constructed and adequately equipped for unforeseen events such as fires.

INSULATION : the maximum single temperature reached before the test was terminated at 1hr 15minutes was 80.2°C and the maximum average temperature at the time was 71.1°C

VK105F – Acoustic Fire Door
Fire rating complies with SABS fire test and certificate.
Aluglass Bautech has designed, constructed and tested the VK 105 F in a Class D double door configuration, 2.88m high and 1.95m wide (the largest the SABS test furnace can accommodate and the largest ever tested in the country)! 120min for thermal performance, 120min stability and 120min integrity followed by a drop bag test. We have a collaborative framework with a competent person fire to facilitate rational design implementations for doors larger than this.
