Variflex® mobile acoustic partitions

Need flexibility and space optimisation?

Variflex® mobile acoustic partitions permit flexible room layouts and subdivide classrooms, film studios, meeting venues or conference facilities, only with an overhead track. Two or more areas can be used simultaneously without disrupting each other or a large area can be created with the individual elements being parked neatly to one side or into a niche. Having an acoustic rating range from DnTw = 40dB to 55dB (Please note: the updated acoustic sound level testing method is an in-situ measurement of the Standardised Level Difference according to ISO 162283-1 2014, analysed according to weighted Standardised Level Difference, DnTw, according to ISO 717-1) and a maximum height over 12m, Aluglass Bautech can assist most design requirements, fulfilling your acoustic needs.

Uncertain about different Acoustic Ratings and what they mean? Read all about it in our blog “Understanding Acoustic Ratings: STC vs Rw vs DnTw”

What Variflex® system to use?

The updated acoustic sound level testing method is an in-situ measurement of the Standardised Level Difference according to ISO 162283-1 2014, analysed according to weighted Standardised Level Difference, DnTw, according to ISO 717-1.

Which Variflex system?

Finishes
  • Fabric – any upholstery weight with a min. width of 1400mm
  • Wallpaper – with a min. width of 1400mm wide
  • Laminate surfaces
  • Velcromat
  • melawood frames with glass inserts

VX83

Aluglass Bautech Variflex® VX83 mobile acoustic (operable wall) partition, _________mm width x _________mm high to suit structural opening size __________mm width x ________mm high, comprising 83mm thick tongued and grooved acoustically decoupled 40dB / 45dB / 49dB [DnTw = 40dB to 55dB (in-situ measurement of the Standardised Level Difference according to ISO 162283-1 2014, analysed according to weighted Standardised Level Difference, DnTw, according to ISO 717-1)] rated panels with ________________________ (veneer, fabric, chipcore, marine ply, supawood, wallpaper or carpet) finish, with mechanically retractable top and bottom seals and vertical seals formed of aluminium extrusions with lip seals and magnetic strips, panels suspended at (one roller trolley / two roller trolley) per panel on track with ball bearing and/or thrust rollers with track bolted to suspension plates in turn bolted to (concrete / timber / steel) support structure and __________mm high bulkhead fitted to and above track in ceiling void. Panels are to park (crosswise under track / U-parking) with panels stacking (one side / two sides).

VX110

Aluglass Bautech Variflex® VX110 mobile acoustic (operable wall) partition, _________mm width x _________mm high to suit structural opening size __________mm width x ________mm high, comprising 110mm thick tongued and grooved acoustically decoupled 47dB / 50dB / 52dB [DnTw = 40dB to 55dB (in-situ measurement of the Standardised Level Difference according to ISO 162283-1 2014, analysed according to weighted Standardised Level Difference, DnTw, according to ISO 717-1)] rated panels with ________________________ (veneer, fabric, chipcore, marine ply, supawood, wallpaper or carpet) finish, with mechanically retractable top and bottom seals and vertical seals formed of aluminium extrusions with lip seals and magnetic strips, panels suspended at (one roller trolley / two roller trolley) per panel on track with ball bearing and/or thrust rollers with track bolted to suspension plates in turn bolted to (concrete / timber / steel) support structure and __________mm high bulkhead fitted to and above track in ceiling void. Panels are to park (crosswise under track / U-parking) with panels stacking (one side / two sides).

Raked VX110

Aluglass Bautech Variflex® VX110 mobile acoustic (operable wall) partition to divide raked auditoria, size ___________mm x (____________mm to ________mm, highest to lowest) to suit structural opening size ____________mm x (__________ mm to _____________mm, highest to lowest), comprising individual 1000mm wide, 110mm thick tongued and grooved acoustically decoupled 50dB [DnTw = 40dB to 55dB (in-situ measurement of the Standardised Level Difference according to ISO 162283-1 2014, analysed according to weighted Standardised Level Difference, DnTw, according to ISO 717-1)] rated panels with ____________________finish, with mechanically retractable top and bottom seals and vertical seals formed of aluminium extrusions with lip seals and magnetic strips, panels suspended at two roller trolleys per panel on track with ball bearing rollers with track bolted to suspension plates in turn fixed to concrete support structure and _____________ mm wide x _____________ mm high acoustic baffle/bulkhead to matching acoustic rating of the panels fitted to and above track in ceiling void. Panels are to park U-parking to two sides with panels stacking perpendicular to the main track. The tongue profile would receive a corner block adaptation to key into the corner block of the next element to ensure a continuous acoustic seal between the panels from step to step. Absorptive treatment to the panels to be integrated into the system to minimise parking stack depth.

VX164

Aluglass Bautech Variflex® VX164 mobile acoustic (operable wall) partition, _________mm width x _________mm high to suit structural opening size __________mm width x ________mm high, comprising 164mm thick tongued and grooved acoustically decoupled 52dB / 55dB [DnTw = 40dB to 55dB (in-situ measurement of the Standardised Level Difference according to ISO 162283-1 2014, analysed according to weighted Standardised Level Difference, DnTw, according to ISO 717-1)] rated panels with ________________________ (veneer, fabric, chipcore, marine ply, supawood, wallpaper or carpet) finish, with mechanically retractable top and bottom seals and vertical seals formed of aluminium extrusions with lip seals and magnetic strips, panels suspended at (one roller trolley / two roller trolley) per panel on track with ball bearing and/or thrust rollers with track bolted to suspension plates in turn bolted to (concrete / timber / steel) support structure and __________mm high bulkhead fitted to and above track in ceiling void. Panels are to park (crosswise under track / U-parking) with panels stacking (one side / two sides).
