Acoustic treatments are essential for any recording or broadcast studio, since they improve the quality and clarity of audio recordings and broadcasts, prevent unwanted sound leakage between different spaces, and reduce external noise disturbances into the studio.
Having supplied a range of acoustic doors and acoustic studio windows to Primedia over the past years, Aluglass Bautech is extremely delighted to have been asked to design, manufacture, and install more acoustic doors and acoustic studio windows for Primedia TV Block recently.

6 various sized Acoustic Studio Windows were installed and are an important component of any studio. It helps to create a controlled and quiet acoustic environment for recording and broadcasting activities. Besides having acoustic benefits, a window in a studio is also beneficial for the following reasons:

  • Visual Communication: One of the primary reasons for having a window in a recording studio is to provide visual communication between the recording engineer, producer, or other personnel in the control room and the performers in the recording space. This is especially important when recording live performances or when giving direction to the performers during a recording session.
  • Natural Light: Natural light from a window can provide a more pleasant and natural working environment for the recording personnel, which can help to reduce fatigue and improve concentration during long recording sessions.

Various sized Varikust® acoustic single and double doors were also specified. Some finished in white Melawood and some with glass inserts in white Melawood frames. Acoustic doors are essential for the following reasons:

  • Sound Isolation: The primary function of an acoustic door is to provide high levels of sound insulation between the recording or broadcasting room and the outside world. Sound insulation is important to prevent external noise from interfering with the process, and to prevent sound leakage from the space into adjacent rooms or buildings.
  • Improved Acoustics: An acoustic door can also help to improve the acoustics of the space by reducing unwanted reflections and resonances that can occur when sound waves bounce back and forth between the walls of the room and the door.
  • Control of Airflow: An acoustic door can also help to control airflow into and out of the recording or broadcasting room, which can be important for maintaining a stable temperature and humidity level in the studio. This is particularly important when recording sensitive instruments or equipment that may be affected by changes in temperature or humidity.

As mentioned above, Acoustic treatments are essential for any broadcasting company and with various acoustic solutions, Primedia will be able to keep listeners connected to news, discussions, and happenings in their city.
