acoustic glass

Project: BP South Africa Oxford Park

Product specified:

Approximately 158 linear meters of the GF Serene 50 acoustic demountable and re-locatable glass partition system were installed to create confidential office spaces within open-plan applications on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floor of the BP SA Oxford Park building. This versatile system is quick and easy to install, remove and reinstall with modular glass elements and flexible frame components. By using 1200mm modular panels with extra make-up panels, the system can be relocated in a new position. The framing system can accommodate cable installations and the glass panels, which slide into place.

To optimise the SOUND SOLUTION the GF Serene system integrates directly with the Aluglass Bautech Varikust® VK62G acoustic glass door. With a door leaf thickness of 62mm, these doors are available in single and double-door configurations; the maximum size on the double door option is 1,5m wide x 2,7m high. Varikust® acoustic doors are multi-rebated doors with an activated sealing mechanism between the bottom of the door leaf and the threshold, effectively stopping noise from getting through the usual gaps around a door.

2 Variflex® VX110 51dB mobile acoustic partition systems where also installed in the meeting rooms at BP SA. This system permits flexible room layouts, subdivides meeting venues, while allowing privacy in the meeting rooms alongside each other. No floor track – only an overhead track, allows for the individual elements to park neatly to one side or into a niche, therefore attaining an uninterrupted floor finish.
