Aluglass Bautech’s Variflex® mobile acoustic partition system and Varikust® acoustic doors were installed at Cape Town Film Studios where ACOUSTICS ARE ESSENTIAL.
The Variflex® system allows a room to be subdivided so that two or more areas can be used simultaneously, allowing for optimal shooting times. Variflex® mobile acoustic partition system (operable walls) VX164 with a length of 30 meters and an amazing height of 12meters, have individual elements that are sturdy and once locked and sealed into place, have a sound insulation of 48dB. When the full-sized room is required, the top-hung elements are easily moved on an overhead track and positioned neatly to one side (click on video) – requiring no floor tracks.
4 Varikust® acoustic doors all have a sound insulation of 51dB were also installed to complete the sound solution for the Cape Town Film Studio.
